Four sites were intensively surveyed: Immediately below the neap tidal limit, immediately above the neap tidal limit, immediately below the MCW pool, the MCW pool, and the Bungay pool.
Australian bass - a valuable recreational angling species
Australian bass spawn in the upper-mid estuary in winter after moving down from the river. Flows permitting, the adults move back upstream into the river in spring, while juveniles enter the river in late spring to early summer.
