Note that the abundance values are only adjusted for unavoidable differences in the length of the transect.
Peaks in autumn appear to be associated with increased food, i.e. the arrival of sea mullet, yellow-tails & bream. Other predators also increase at this time, i.e. bottle-nose dolphins, Australian gannets & commercial fisherman.
